AGDK® is proud to announce its successful graduation from the Fall 2025 HBCU Founders Initiative (HBCUFI) Pre-Accelerator, joining a distinguished cohort of 100 founders from 23 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Demonstrating strategic execution, creativity, and innovative thinking, AGDK® earned third place in the Better Futures Pitch Competition, solidifying its position as a rising leader in tech-enabled solutions and entrepreneurial innovation.
About HBCUFI
Launched by Nex Cubed, the HBCU Founders Initiative (HBCUFI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit designed to empower HBCU students and alumni to create impactful, tech-enabled solutions. HBCUFI equips participants with access to capital, mentorship, and a sector-agnostic curriculum that spans AI, fintech, health tech, beauty, gaming, edtech, social impact, and more.
Since its inception, HBCUFI has supported over 1,500 students and alumni from more than 80 HBCUs, helping founders scale their startups while addressing societal and campus challenges. Alumni have collectively raised over $2 million in startup funding, demonstrating the initiative’s tangible impact in closing the wealth gap through entrepreneurship.
